Kimbrough Elementary School Mentoring Program
Fall and Spring Semesters
This community-service program brings collegiate athletes and elementary students together. It provides an opportunity for USD athletes to serve as mentors to young children. Volunteers spend time with the same children for two hours each week, assisting in both classroom and physical fitness activities. The program furthers the goal of Athletes For Education (AFE) to give children positive role models in the community by placing USD student-athletes in schools whose students are in need of additional attention.

TLC Toy Drive/Donate-a-Dollar
December 2005
Every Christmas, the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) organizes a campus wide Toy Drive for local families in need during the holidays. This year we raised over $1500 dollars and were able to collect hundreds of toys for our families. Our student-athlete asked fans to Donate-a-Dollar at USD athletic contests and the money was used to buy toys and gift cards to grocery stores. On top of that, each athletic team was responsible for adopting a family.
