Associate Athletic Trainer

Paul Signorelli joined the University of San Diego Sports Medicine Staff as an Assistant in the fall of 1999 and became an Associate Athletic Trainer in 2002. Paul came to the University of San Diego after spending two years as an Assistant at the University of Rhode Island.

His daily duties include administrative assignments, evaluation of athletic injuries, and care and prevention of athletic injuries for all of the universities intercollegiate athletes. His primary sport and travel responsibilities are football and women's basketball and he provides game coverage and supervision for women's tennis.

In conjunction with San Diego Project Heartbeat and the American Heart Association, Paul and the other members of the sports medicine staff have certified or re-certified over 80 members of the athletic department in use of CPR and an AED.

A native southern Californian Paul enjoys surfing, mountain biking, cycling, running and traveling. Paul, his wife Jorie, and newborn son Lucca reside in San Diego with their two cats Dunkin and Donut, and their rescue dog Zuma from Costa Rica.
