Tryout Process
*Saturday will consist of the dance and cheer portion of the tryout. Number of cuts is based on the number of people auditioning. Those who make the final cut, will move on to Sunday.
*You will be taught a 4 eight count hip hop routine and demonstrate technique across the floor. You will also learn a cheer/chant, demonstrate rallying ability, and anyone who tumbles will have the opportunity to show that as well. Mats will be provided on the floor.
*Judging is based on a point system. Your highest and lowest scores are thrown out, the remaining scores are averaged. Those scoring the highest will advance to the next round of auditioning.
*Sunday morning, beginning at 10:30am, individual interviews will be conducted in 15-20 minute intervals.
- Interview attire is business casual. No jeans or flip flops please.
*Once the interviews have concluded, we will hold the final dance cut. We will deliberate for approximately an hour, then announce the 2008-2009 Torero Spirit Team.
