JUNIOR (2011): Earned WCC Honorable Mention Honors with 11 game starts and 14 appearances...posted a 3-4 record and a 3.29 ERA...struck out 55 batters and walked 37 in 76.2 innings pitched...allowed no runs on 2 hits in 7 innings pitched against Saint Mary's College...had his longest outing in the win over New Orleans, pitching 8 innings with 7 strikeouts and giving up only 3 runs on April 1, 2011. SOPHOMORE (2010): Redshirted at USD. FRESHMAN (2009): Played at Orange Coast Community College and helped the Pirates win the State Championship...he posted a 8-4 record and had a 4.29 ERA, while striking out 65 batters in 71.1 innings of work. HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball at Huntington Beach High School...as a senior he earned first-team All-League honors while picking up 50 strikeouts in 50 innings of work... finished the season with a 5-2 record and a 2.33 ERA... During his sophomore season he was named first-team All-League while posting a 6-1 record and an ERA of 1.93. PERSONAL: Calvin Drummond was born on September 22, 1989 in Huntington Beach, Calif....he is the son of Bill and Jan Drummond...he was also recruited by Arizona State, Arizona, UCLA, UC Irvine, and USC...chose to attend USD because of the baseball program.
