FRESHMAN (2011): Played baseball at California, helping the Golden Bears post a 38-23 overall record and he helped the team reach the College World Series...he hit .286 with 16 hits, one double, one home run and five RBI in 56 plate appearances...on the mound, he posted a 1-1 record with a 4.58 ERA in seven appearances and one start...he recorded 14 strikeouts and walked 14 batters in 19.1 innings of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played high school baseball at St. Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif...he hit .457 with eight home runs, 27 RBI and 14 stolen bases as a junior at St. Mary's High School, while also going 3-1 with a 2.48 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 48.0 innings on the mound...he was a 2009 TCAL MVP and a Cal Hi Sports second-team All-State selection as well...in June, 2010, Lechich was a 43rd round draft pick of the Oakland A's...he also lettered in football and was named 1st team All Area both his junior and senior year

PERSONAL: Louis Albert Lechich was born on November 11, 1991 in Stockton, CA...he is the son of Jim and Lynne Lechich...he was also recruited by CAL, USC, Oregon State and Oregon...he chose USD because of the development of baseball ability and skill...his he was also recruited by many Division 1 schools to play football.
