HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters playing at Christian High School...posted a career batting average of .420 with 145 hits, 12 home runs and 117 RBI...named first-team All-Eastern League three of four years...named first-team All-CIF division IV three of four years, including a CIF division IV Pitcher of the year award as a sophomore. As a senior hit .483 with 42 hits, five home runs and 38 RBI...was named to the Union Tribune's first-team All-academic his junior and senior seasons.
PERSONAL: Born on Dec. 1, 1984 in San Diego, California...was recruited to play at UC Irvine and Baylor University...chose to attend USD because of the academic reputation and because of the baseball program.
