Brad Marcelino is entering his first year with the Toreros baseball program. His responsibilities include assisting with practice schedules, recruiting and camp director as well as assisting with all other facets of the program.

Marcelino most recently coached at local La Costa Canyon High School for three years and helped the program become nationally ranked for the past three years. He also coached in the Australian league and has had 20 of his former players go into professional baseball. Marcelino became an associate scout for the Baltimore Orioles evaluating local talent in San Diego.

He played his collegiate baseball at Occidental College and California Lutheran University. After Cal Lu he played professionally and also attended Cleveland Indians Spring Training in 2004. He also currently still plays for the Great Britain National Team and in 2009 competed against International powerhouses such as Cuba, Japan, Puerto Rico, Korea, Venezuela and others. Also playing in countries such as Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, Croatia, Czech Republic and Israel among others. Next year he will be participating in the preliminary rounds of the World Baseball Classic. Marcelino runs the North County Mavericks high school/college prep baseball program which consists of 5th - 8th graders and is based out of North County San Diego.

Marcelino received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics for Business Management from Occidental College in 2003. Marcelino is married to his wife Johanna and they currently reside in San Diego, CA.
