Exceptional athlete, one of the fastest players in the WCC
Junior in 2004: Utilized 34 times off the bench, by far the most appearances as a sub by any player in the WCC... Doubled twice and scored 14 times in 27 official at-bats... Drove in six runs and stole a pair of bases... Made six starts in the outfield, including back-to-back starts against No. 5 Texas and No. 23 Washington... Went 2-for-4, with a stolen base and two runs scored at Texas (2-8-04)... Hit a two-RBI double in one at-bat against WCC rival Gonzaga (5-8-04)... Also doubled and scored at Loyola Marymount (3-7-04). Sophomore in 2003: Very fast runner and excellent defensive outfielder... Proved to be an extremely difficult out... Posted a .320 batting average over 50 at-bats... Got on base at a 43% rate, second-highest among any Torero in 2003... Used mainly as a reserve, starting in nine games over the course of the season... In the nine games he did start, Ng totaled 11 hits in 34 at-bats (.323 BA)... Doubled and knocked in a career-high three runs against Cal Poly SLO (2-26-03)... Played in 36 games as sub, by far the highest on the team.
