PERSONAL: Matthew Thomson was born on Mar. 22, 1988 in Santa Rosa, Calif....he is the son of Doug and Judy Thompson...was heavily recruited by Oregon State, Cal and UC Irvine...chose to attend USD because of the baseball program.
