LOS ANGELES, Calif. - An Ollie Enos walk-off RBI single lifted the Loyola Marymount University Lions to a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the University of San Diego baseball team Sunday afternoon in a West Coast Conference game at Paige Stadium.
With the loss, the Toreros fall to 27-21 overall and 10-8 in the WCC. With the win, the Lions improve to 29-21 overall and 12-6 in the WCC.
With USD leading 4-3 heading into the ninth inning, the Lions were able to push across the tying run on an Angelo Songco sacrifice fly, followed by Enos' walk-off RBI single to give the Lions the win.
LMU got on the scoreboard first, as they scored one run on a bases-loaded Evan Smonitsch walk to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
San Diego then responded with a big three-run third inning to take their first lead of the series. Austin Green led off the inning with a single down the right field line and moved to second on a Jon Hotta single. Sean Nicol then reached on a fielding error by the LMU shortstop, which scored Green from second and moved Hotta to second. Hotta then advanced to third on a wild pitch and James Meador drew a walk to load the bases. Chris Engell drove in the second run of the inning on an infield RBI single. Bryan Haar pushed across the final run on a bases-loaded walk to give USD a 3-1 lead.
The Toreros would then cap their scoring for the day in the top of the fourth inning, as they scored one run on a Nick McCoy sacrifice fly, which scored Green, who had walked, to give USD a 4-1 lead.
LMU would score two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on solo home runs by Songco and Shon Roe to cut the deficit to one at 4-3, and set up the stage for the ninth-inning rally.

Green led the USD offense as he went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
Scott Denault (3-4) was saddled with the loss for the Toreros, as he allowed two runs on one hit in 1.2 innings of work. Chris Eusebio (4-4) was credited with the win for the Lions, as he allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings of work.
The Toreros will return to action on Tuesday as they head to Tempe, Ariz. to take on Arizona State University in a 6 p.m. non-conference game.
