Christopher Anderson Nominated for Play of the Year Anderson's coast-to-coast game-winning reverse lay-up is up for the GEICO Play of the Year
Feb. 25, 2013
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - University of San Diego sophomore point guard Christopher Anderson has been nominated for the GEICO Play of the Year for his remarkable coast-to-coast game-winning reverse layup against LMU on February 4th.
Trailing by one with only seconds remaining, the Toreros needed to go the length of the court. They put the ball in the hands of Anderson who drove hard all the way to the paint. The speedy guard went up for the layup, but was met in mid-air by an LMU defender; Anderson went up-and-under the shot blocker and scooped the ball into the basket to give the Toreros the 69-68 win.
