High School: Atteneded Miramonte High School....competed in rowing throughout all four years of high school...as a junior placed second in the lightweight 8 category at the 2011 San Diego Crew Classic...finished seventh in the nation his senior year in the lightweight 8 category....rowed for the Oakland Strokes club team.
Personal: Ryan Sandy was born on June 2, 1994 in Berkeley, CA...he is the son of Mark and Karen Sandy...his mother Karen was part of the rowing team at Bucknell University...he chose USD for the excellent education and opportunity to row in a competitive program.
