Keith Carter enters his third season as a full time assistant coach for the Toreros. For the 2011 campaign he has been promoted to Running Game Coordinator, and for the second straight season will coach the offensive line unit. During the 2009 campaign he coached the tight ends, including Patrick Doyle who went on to be selected the team's Offensive Most Valuable Player. Prior to USD Carter spent two seasons (2007-08) at the University of Redlands where he was offensive line coach. In 2008 the Bulldogs went 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, good for 3rd place. In 2006 he was tight ends coach for one season at Wagner College while completing his Master of Arts in Secondary Education. In 2005 he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA after competing as a member of the Bruins football team. As a player he played for the Bruins for four seasons seeing action at U-back, fullback and tight end. He hails from Downingtown, PA. |
