Ed Lamb enters his third year with the USD football program as coach of the secondary and special teams. Lamb came to San Diego after a two-year stint at the University of Idaho where he was the Vandals defensive coordinator. Over the span of two seasons at Idaho, the Vandals defense improved by 20 points per game allowed.
Prior to Idaho he held coaching positions with BYU and the University of Redlands. At Redlands he was the defensive coordinator for three seasons with the Bulldogs, finishing number one in total defense each season and winning two Southern Calfifornia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles (1999 & 2000).
Lamb earned his M.A. in Education in 1998 from Redlands, and holds a B.A. in English from Brigham Young. He and his wife, Sarah, have three daughters, Anna , Amelia, and Acorn. Lamb is a 1992 graduate of Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California.
