Finished with 57 tackles (35 solo), 15 sacks (-99 yards), 19.5 tackles for loss (-125), six quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries (one for TD), one forced fumble, one interception and one blocked kick... Ranked 4th in the FCS in sacks (1.36) and 10th in tackles for loss (1.77)... Named a 2011 AP FCS All-American and the PFL Defender of the Year... Earned team Defensive MVP honors... Tabbed PFL Defensive player of the week in USD's 55-14 road victory at Valparaiso (seven tackles, four sacks and an interception)... Put together a season-high 11 tackles (3.5 sacks) against Dayton.... Named to his third FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team and first PFL All-Academic First team ... Sat out with a redshirt year in 2010... In 2009 played in secondary and finished with 13 tackles in 10 games of competition... Season-high four tackles in final game against Southern Utah (Nov. 21)... Two stops in three other contests.
High School: Attended Folsom HS...during his senior season for the Bulldogs, he had 83 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and an interception... Selected to the All-Conference team for his efforts, as well as being named the Most Improved... Three-time letterman in lacrosse, even being named an All-Northern California performer.
