High School/College: At Cal he redshirted in 2002 and did not see any action this past season... From Patterson, California, he prepped at Central Catholic HS where he threw for 1,986 yards and 18 TDs as a senior... Also rushed for 500 yards and nine TDs that season... Earned league MVP and all-district honors in 2001... Led team to section championship with a 12-1 record... Voted MVP of his baseball team his senior year when he batted .415 and recorded a 10-0 record as a pitcher, leading team to a state championship.

Personal: Born on December 27, 1983 in Modesto, CA... Recruited as a prep by Cal, Montana, Princeton and UC Davis... Chose to transfer to USD for the opportunity to play football for an up and coming program led by Coach Harbaugh and for the academics... Grew up on family farm and enjoys hunting.
