After eight years of playing professionally Corbett joins USD coaching staff
Clark Corbett is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the USD Golf Team. Corbett had been playing professionally since 2003 on various mini tours such as the Asian Tour and Canadian Tour, where he was a fully exempt member in 2003. Corbett also played in PGA and U.S. Open qualifiers.
"I am pleased to announce that Clark Corbett will be our new assistant coach. I know that the knowledge he brings to the team from his experience as a top collegiate player and professional golfer will be an asset to the program," Head Coach Cory Scoggin said after the hiring.
Corbett attended Long Beach City College for two years before transferring to UNLV where he earned a degree in sociology. While at Long Beach City College, he was an All-Conference selection twice and helped his team win the 1999 California State Team Championship. Corbett was also a part of the second place team in 2000.
At UNLV, Corbett was named to the Mountain West All Conference team and helped the Rebels win the 2002 Mountain West Conference Team Championship.
Corbett is from Long Beach, California and attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School where he was a four year letterman and two-time All-League and All-City selection.
