Men's Golf In First Place At Ron Moore Invitational

PALM VALLEY, Ariz. - The University of San Diego men's golf team finished the second round of the 2008 Ron Moore Invitational in first place after day two of the competition. The Toreros scored an opening round 277 followed by a day two 278 for a 555. USD is three strokes ahead of the second place team, Kansas State University.

Blake Trimble is among the top 20 players tied for second place with an opening round 69 and a second round 66 for a two-round total of 135. Teammate Darrin Hall is in a five-way tie for tenth place shooting a first round 71 and a second round 68 for a total of 139 as well as teammate Jason Shano shooting a first round 69 and a second round 70.

San Diego continues with day three of competition on Sunday, March 23 at the Ron Moore Invitational from Palm Valley, Arizona.
