Lihue, HI - The USD men's golf team won the 2009 Kauai Collegiate Invite for the second consecutive year. The Toreros shot a team score of 829 (-35), with second place James Madison 30 strokes back at 859. USD's Joseph Harrison, playing as an individual, shot a final round 69 to finish at 205 (-11) and win medalist honors. He edged teammates Alex Ching (2nd at 206; 69-69-68), Ben Murray (t3rd at 208; 66-68-74) and Jason Shano (t3rd at 208; 68-70-70). Junior Gunner Wiebe tied for 6th at 210 (71-69-70), followed by teammates Kenneth McCready (t12th at 213; 70-73-70), Scott Brace (t15th at 214; 71-72-71) and Leon Knoll (t34th at 225; 75-73-77). Three other WCC schools were competing - Gonzaga (t5th at 871), LMU (7th at 872) and San Francisco (9th at 888).
