(University Place, WA) - The 2010 U.S. Amatuer Golf Championships got underway on Monday, and after two rounds of stroke play it looks like two Toreros will advance to the Match Play format - senior Gunner Wiebe (Denver, CO) and junior Alex Ching (Honolulu, HI). Wiebe is currently tied for 15th overall after shooting a 74 today on the tougher Chambers Bay Course. He sits at 1-over par 144 (70-74). Ching matched his Monday score of 73 with today's round on the Honors Course and currently is tied for 33rd overall at 146 (+3). Both players will advance to the Match Play format.

Kenneth McCready (Placerville, CA) followed up his opening round 74 with a 77 today and his 8-over par 151 left him just two strokes out of the Match Play format with +6 cut number.

Jason Shano (Scottsdale, AZ) did not advance to Match Play after posting back-to-back scores of 82 (Home Course) and 78 (Chambers Bay).
