Brian Quinn

Born in Belfast, Ireland, Brian Quinn returns to the USD men's soccer program for his fifth year with the Toreros. He has many years of both playing and coaching at the highest level to accompany his distinguished 16-year professional career dating back all the way to 1978.
Quinn holds a USSF 'A' Coaching license. He coached the San Diego Sockers in the CISL from 1995-96. In 1997-99 coached the San Jose Clash/Earthquakes of the MLS before returning for a second term with the San Diego Sockers from 2000-04 in the MISL. The former Director of Coaching of Poway Youth Soccer Club (1991-94), Quinn currently is the Director of Boys coaching for F.C. San Diego, and is a Technical Director for Adidas ESP developmental program. He also coached The Bishop's School, La Jolla girl's varsity soccer team.
Quinn was an eight-time champion with the San Diego Sockers, eight-time All-Star, fourth all-time scorer in Sockers' history, second all-time playoff scorer, two-time MVP in playoff Championship Series (1986 & 1990), 1991 Gold Cup Winner - US National Team, 1992 US Cup Winner - US National Team, was the youngest coach in Major League Soccer history in 1997.
