San Diego takes on Bay Area opponents this weekend
 
 
USD Travels To Bay Area For Final Matches of 2007 Season

The University of San Diego men's soccer team wraps up their 2007 regular season with a pair of road matches in the Bay Area this weekend. San Diego will first face-off against the Saint Mary's College Gaels on Friday at 2:00 p.m. followed by a match on Sunday against the University of San Francisco Don's at 2:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE GAELS: USD will look to snap their two match losing streak as they take on the Gaels Friday afternoon at Saint Mary's Stadium at 2:00 p.m. In the last meeting between these two teams, USD won 2-0.

The Gaels are currently fifth in the WCC with a conference mark of 2-6-2 and a 6-8-2 overall mark giving them 8 points. The Gael to watch for is senior midfielder David Blanchard who has scored a team high three goals for the Gaels.

SCOUTING THE DON'S: San Diego finishes up the regular season against USF. The Don's held on to a 0-0 tie in double overtime at Torero Stadium last month. USD will play San Francisco on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

The Don's are currently fifth in the conference with an overall record of 6-10-1 and a WCC mark of 2-7-1. The Don to watch will be sophomore forward Conor Chinn with five goals and two assists.
