SAN DIEGO, CA - The USD men's tennis team has two home matches this weekend at the USD West Tennis Courts. The 74th-ranked Toreros, currently with a 3-4 record, host the Memphis Tigers on Friday (1:30 p.m.), followed by a 12:30 p.m. Saturday match against the Saint Mary's College Gaels. In the most recent Fila Rankings, senior Thomas Liversage is ranked 37th in the nation, while freshman Dean Jackson is 71st. In their last match the Toreros held on for a 4-3 victory over Cal Poly with Jackson earning the deciding point in a three-set victory at No. 1 singles. Both opponents come to town with winning records - Memphis sits at 5-2, while SMC is 6-2. The Saint Mary's doubles tandem of Joel Kusnierz and Marek Dvorak is ranked 60th in the nation.
