WCC Honors 110 USD Student-Athletes on Commissioner's Honor Roll

The nine WCC schools put a total of 1,093 student-athletes on the list from the 13 sports that the conference sponsors, which is another new conference record.

Junior (2011-12): Redshirted due to injury.

Sophomore (2010-11): Placed eighth at the Aztec Invitational where he ran the second fastest course time in USD history with a 4:18 1500m and a 15:52 5K... Also named a 2011 USD Scholar Athlete and earned Second Honors.

Freshman (2009-10): Earned team Most Valuable Player Award after running the ninth fastest 8k time in USD history...Also made the 2010 Dean's List.

High School: Attended Bellarmine College Preparatory where he was two-year varsity letterman in cross country and track...Ran cross country under head coach Patrick McCrystle...Senior year earned All-League Honors while contributing to a League Championship title and running a 16:25 5k at the California state meet...Junior year received the MVP Award for the junior varsity team and also helped the varsity team to a League Championship.

Personal: Born on December 27, 1991, in San Jose, CA...Parents are Jeanine and Gregg Anderson...Was also recruited by the University of Redlands...Chose to attend USD for the great school colors, community atmosphere and teammate Jacob Bruce...In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry and music.
