USD: Barrios is a junior this year and was on the team last year.He was honored as a Presidential Scholar and has earned one USD varsity letter.
Prep/Club: Was on the varsity cross country team all four years for Ramona High School under head coach Ola Knuttson. He was co-captaining his junior year and was elected captain his senior year on the team. His team's best accomplishment was during his senior year when they finished second place in their conference, Valley League. Not only did Barrios earn a letter in cross country, but in golf, soccer, and track, too.
Personal: Barrios, nickname Lou, was born on December 28, 1986 in Ramona, CA. He was highly recruited from high school by San Marcos. He attended USD because of how beautiful the school is, it's close to home, and has a good academic and athletic program. One of his interests is that he enjoys swimming from time to time. Lue has never missed a race at USD earning him the title of Iron-man among his peers.
