FRESHMAN (2009-10): Appeared in 24 games as a true freshman while averaging 14 minutes per game...named to the All-WCC freshman team... helped the team win the Maggie Dixon Surf N Slam Classic for the second straight year...recorded two double-doubles on the season with her first coming against Gonzaga (02/13/10) when she was 5-for-7 from the field recording 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds... Her second double-double came at Pepperdine (02/27/10) where she recorded 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in 40 minutes of play...scored 10 points at San Francisco (2/4/10).
HIGH SCHOOL: As a junior and a senior, she was invited to attend the National Elite Development Academy for Canada...as a senior, she was chosen to play on the Canadian Junior National U-18 team that competed in the FIBA Americas as a 16 year old, where she started every game and helped team win a silver medal...as a senior, junior, and sophomore, she was chosen to play on the British Columbia U-17 Provincial Basketball team...as a sophomore, she was named MVP of the 2007 Senior Girls High School AAA provincials and helped lead Maple Ridge Secondary to their first B.C. Championship, while averaging 24 points and eight rebounds per game.
PERSONAL: Felicia Kristina Wijenberg was born on October 1, 1991...she is the daughter of Ernie and Jodi Wijenberg...was heavily recruited by Hartford, Utah, Nebraska, Santa Clara, Denver, San Diego State, Vermont and Harvard...chose to attend USD because of the outstanding business school, its location on the West Coast which will allow her family to watch her play, and because of the coaching staff and team...her father, Ernie, was on the Canadian National Judo team and won Gold Medal for Canada in the Open Weight division-competed extensively internationally.
