Junior ('10-'11): Rowed with the V8... Helped the V8 take gold at WCCs and win WIRAs for the first time in program history... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.41 GPA.
Sophomore ('09-'10): Helped the V8 win USD's first-ever WCC championship, the Cal Cup in the San Diego Crew Classic, and the Oklahoma Invite... also helped her boat earn a second-place finish at WIRAs and at NARF.
Freshman ('08-`09): Competed with the V8... helped her boat finish second at WCCs and third at WIRAs... named MVP of the novice team and Most Improved on the varsity.
High School: Attended Aptos High School... lettered four times in track and field and once in volleyball... did not row... was voted her volleyball team's most inspirational... was the team captain of her track and field team as a senior, while also earning the Coach's Award for track and field in 2008 and being named Most Valuable Field Athlete... earned the Scholar Athlete Award each year of high school.
Personal: Born September 20th, 1990 in Santa Cruz, Calif.... parents are Betty and Jim Geesman... chose USD because of the undergraduate Business program, the campus, and the location... was named to the Dean's List and 2nd Honors in spring of 2008 and fall of 2010... her brother, Glenn, competed in football, wrestling and rowing at MIT and her mother played volleyball and basketball at Sonoma State... notes that she loves hiking and salsa dancing.
