Junior ('10-'11): Competed with the V8, helping guide the boat to first place finishes at WCCs and WIRAs... Named to the All-WCC team... Earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-West Region First Team honors... Named to the WCC All-Academic team as well as the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.51 GPA... Garnered CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors. Sophomore ('09-'10): Helped lead the Toreros to their first-ever WCC championship as a member of the V8 and a win in the San Diego Crew Classic... Named team MVP and to the All-WCC team... Collected CRCA All-West Region Second Team honors... Earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete recognition and WCC All-Academic honors. Freshman ('08-`09): Was a member of the team that took second-place in the WCC... named team MVP and All-WCC. High School: Attended Newport Harbor High School where she earned two varsity letters rowing for head coach Christy Shaver... was a team captain as a senior and was named her team's MVP while helping lead her varsity four boat to a third-place finish nationally... qualified for Nationals in the varsity single as a senior... in her junior year was named Most Improved... was also a member of her school's swim team, surf team, and cross-country squad... won a state championship with her surf team. Personal: Born September 7th, 1990 in Newport Beach, Calif.... daughter of Karen Patrick... chose USD because of the location, the sun, and the small classroom sizes that make for great academics... was awarded the Trustee Scholarship and was on the Honor Roll her first two years at USD. Major: Psychology and Theology. |
