SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's rowing team gears up for the 2009 Newport Autumn Rowing Festival scheduled for Sunday, November 1 in Newport Beach, California. The Toreros have had success at NARF in the past and look to continue their winning ways on Sunday.

In 2008, the Toreros Open Eight boat finished with a solid top five time against tough competition. The Novice Eight squad finished with a top-10 time out of 21 crews. The women's Open Four boat had a quality finish facing strong opposition in that event last year as well.

USD is confident their success last weekend will carry over this weekend as they approach the halfway mark of their fall segment of competition.
