Cori Alexander is beginning her first season with the women's soccer team and will primarily work with the goalkeepers for head coach Ada Greenwood, while also assisting with all facets of the game.

As a goalkeeper at the University of Portland from 2003-2006, she helped lead the Pilots to a national championship in 2005, earning NCAA Tournament Defensive MVP distinction. Alexander garnered All-American honors while becoming Portland's career leader in saves and shutouts. Alexander also has caps for the United States at the Under-21 and Under-23 levels.

Following her playing career at Portland, Alexander competed in the USL W-League with the Vancouver Whitecaps (2007) and the Seattle Sounders (2008). She was drafted seventh overall by Sky Blue FC in the 2008 Women's Professional Soccer General Draft, where she was a part of the inaugural WPS Championship.

Alexander, originally from Martinez, Calif., has coached with FC Portland since 2003 and was named Director of Goalkeeping in 2008. She most recently served as an assistant coach at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, Calif. Other coaching experience includes working with the Walnut Creek Soccer Club, Heritage Soccer Club, and University of Oregon and University of Portland summer camps. She currently holds a National "D" coaching license.
