JUNIOR (2010): Played and started in all 21 matches as a mainstay in the Torero midfield...recorded two goals and one assist for five points...scored both of her goals in a win against Portland State (9/19/10) including the game-winner...tallied one assist in a 4-1 win against San Francisco (10/15/10)...took a total of 15 shots, including multiple shots in five different matches...helped the Toreros earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
SOPHOMORE (2009): Played in 18 matches with 17 starts...Named All-WCC honorable mention...had four goals this season...scored the game winning goal against Rutgers (9-11-09) and the game-winning goal against Loyola Marymount (10-23-09)...also scored one goal against Saint Mary's(10-16-09) and one goal against Gonzaga (10-30-09)...had two assists for a total of 10 points... helped the team finish second in the prestigious West Coast Conference and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2008): Played in 21 matches with 18 starts...scored three goals and added in five assists for 11 points...earned an All-WCC honorable mention and was named to the All-WCC Freshman team...was named a Soccerbuzz Freshman All-American as well as being named to the All-Far West freshman team. helped the Toreros receive a national ranking as high as No. 11...helped the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament...scored one goal against La Salle (9-12-08), Santa Clara (10-12-08) and against Portland (11-8-08)...tallied one assist against Northwestern (9-5-08), La Salle (9-12-08), UC Riverside (9-26-08), Loyola Marymount (10-26-08) and against Gonzaga (10-31-08).
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two varsity letters in soccer while playing at Bonita Vista Senior High School...helped lead her team to back-to-back Mesa League Championships as a junior and senior...was named All-CIF San Diego Section as a junior and senior...was named Mesa League Player of the Year as a junior and senior...was named the Union Tribune's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior...took home first-team All-Academic honors from the Union Tribune as a senior...She was also a member of the Surf Club team and helped lead her team to the 2006 state cup championship in 2006 and to a regional championship in 2005.
PERSONAL: Elissa Buenaflor Magracia was born on June 16, 1990...she is the daughter of Cecilia Magracia and Eugenio Magracia Jr....was heavily recruited by Long Beach State, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Harvard...chose to attend USD because of the location and outstanding women's soccer program.
