FRESHMAN (2011): Played and started in all 22 matches this season rotating between the forward and midfield positions... helped lead the team to the program's first WCC championship, and into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament...recorded three goals and three assists for nine points...named to both the All-WCC honorable Mention team and to the All-WCC freshman team...scored one goal against Saint Mary's (10/21/11)...scored the game-winning goal against Gonzaga (10/27/11)...scored one goal against Santa Clara (11/4/11)...recorded one assist against San Francisco (10/9/11), Pacific (9/26/11) and Missouri (9/19/11).
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Played four-years of soccer at nearby Torrey Pines High School...as a senior, she helped lead her team to the CIF Championship, the Palomar League Championship and the CIF Regional championship...as a senior she was named first-team All-CIF, first-team All-North County Times, while also being tabbed the Palomar Player of the Year...as a junior, she was named second-team All-Palomar League, while helping lead her team to the Avocado League Championship...as a sophomore she helped lead her team to an Avocado League championship, and her team was a CIF finalist...as a freshman, she helped lead her team to a CIF championship...she also lettered in field hockey...played club soccer for the San Diego Surf...she helped lead her Surf team to the National Cup finals in 2010, and the team was a regional participant in 2010 as well...in 2011, she helped her team reach the US Club Soccer Nationals.
PERSONAL: Meghan Emily O'Rourke was born on January 31, 1993 in La Jolla, Calif....she is the daughter of Laura and Chip O'Rourke...was also recruited by USC, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly...chose to attend USD because of the academic reputation, the outstanding women's soccer program and because of the beautiful campus...her father, Chip, played water polo at USC, and her sister Katherine played water polo at UC Davis.
