JUNIOR (2010): Played and started in all 21 matches in goal for the Toreros... recorded five shutouts on the season and bolstered a 0.80 goals-against-average...recorded a career-high 12 saves in a 1-0 win against Marquette (9/3/10)...recorded nine saves against Michigan (8/29/10)...recorded shutouts against USC (8/20/10), Michigan (8/29/10), Marquette (9/3/10), Cal State Bakersfield (9/17/10), and against USC (10/1/10) ...helped the Toreros earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
SOPHOMORE (2009): Played and started in all 21 matches as goalkeeper... helped the team finish second in the prestigious West Coast Conference and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament...had seven shutouts this season with a goals against average of 1.14...had 11 saves against UCLA (08-28-09)...had a total of 58 saves and a 70.7 save percentage...also had a total of 12 wins, seven losses and two ties.
FRESHMAN (2008): Played in seven matches with three starts in goal for USD...posted a GAA of 0.82... helped the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament...recorded two shutouts, one against UC Irvine (8-31-08) and the other against Iowa (9-7-08)...posted a career-high three saves against UC Irvine and Iowa...helped the Toreros defense post a GAA of 0.77...helped the team receive a national ranking as high as No. 11.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in soccer at Ursuline High School...was named first-team All-Empire league as a senior...was a three-time scholar athlete...helped lead her team to a North Coast Section Championship as a sophomore and a junior...in 2006 she helped lead Ursuline to a No. 1 National Ranking...has been a member of the Santa Rosa Club team and was an ODP Region IV player.
PERSONAL: Courtney Ann Parsons was born on Dec. 22, 1989...she is the daughter of Guy and Julie Parsons...was heavily recruited by Texas, Stanford, UNLV, Loyola Marymount and Washington State...chose to attend USD because of the location, academic reputation and the outstanding women's soccer program...notes she likes water sports, snowboarding and camping.
