Diana "DeeDee" Sanguinetti enters her first season with the University of San Diego women's soccer program, and will help head coach Ada Greenwood with all aspects of the game.

Sanguinetti comes to the Toreros after serving as the head assistant soccer coach at Kansas Wesleyan for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. While coaching at Kansas Wesleyan, Sanguinetti helped lead the team to an overall record of 23-12-5 in two seasons, highlighted by a KCAC championship and a trip to the NAIA Sweet 16 in 2010, a first for the program. In her fist season with KW, she helped the team post an overall record of 13-5-2.

Sanguinetti was an outstanding collegiate player, as she played at both Long Beach State University and Pepperdine University. As a freshman, she played at LBSU, and she earned first-team All-Big West Honors as a defender, and in her sophomore season, she took home All-Big West honorable mention accolades.

She then transferred to Pepperdine, where she helped lift the program into national prominence, with a top-20 ranking, as she started as the center defender for the Waves. The Pepperdine defense was ranked No. 1 in the nation on numerous occasions, and in her junior season she was scouted by the Argentinean National team, and was asked to play for their Olympic team. In her two seasons with Pepperdine, Sanguinetti helped lead the team into back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances reaching the second round in her junior season.

She was a highly touted youth, as she played club soccer for three different clubs. She began her career with the Trumball United Stingers, in which she helped the team with five Connecticut state championships from 1991-95. She also helped the Yankee United Heat Premier club win two Connecticut state titles, one regional semi-final and one region championship. The final club team she played for was the Valley United Star 83' (California), in which she helped the team win two regional championships, post 315 total shutouts and win 57 total championships.

She was also a member of the Olympic Development since the age of 10, and made the under 12 ODP team when she was 10 years old, the youngest member of the team at that time. She was also on the ODP California State team from 1995-2001, and made the regional camp in 2000.

Sanguinetti graduated from Pepperdine in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She currently holds her NSCAA National Coaching License and resides in Point Loma.
