Four Toreros Earn Postseason Accolades

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Four University of San Diego women's soccer players earned Soccerbuzz post season accolades with Brittany Cameron taking home first-team All Far West Region honors, Natalie Vinti earning second-team All-Far West honors, Jen Mello taking home third-team All-Far West honors and Elissa Magracia being named a Freshman All-American as well as being named to the All-Far West freshman team.

Cameron, the 52nd overall pick in the Women's Professional Soccer League draft last month, helped San Diego to a second place finish in the WCC standings this season, helped lead the team to the most wins in conference play in program history and helped the team advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Dublin, Calif. native posted four shutouts in seven WCC games to rank second in the conference. Overall, she posted nine shutouts, and posted an goals-against-average of 0.75.

Vinti, a second-team All-WCC performer, recorded three assists for three points, while helping lead USD into the second round of the NCAA Tournament and a second place finish in the WCC. Vinti played as USD's center back and helped anchored down the USD defense to 13 shutouts and a goals-against-average of 0.75.

Mello, a fist-team All-WCC honoree, led the Toreros with 11 goals scored, to go along with a pair of assists for a team-leading 24 points. Mello helped lead the Toreros into the second round of the NCAA Tournament and a second place finish in the WCC. She was named the WCC Player of the Week once and named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week once.

Magracia, a All-WCC honorable mention and a All-WCC Freshman team member, heled lead the Toreros into the second round of the NCAA Tournament and a second lace finish in the WCC. Magracia scored three goals and tallied a team-leading five assists for 11 points.
