SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's soccer program is holding its fifth annual "Casino Night" fundraiser from 6-10 p.m on April 12, 2008 in the Jenny Craig Pavilion. The event hopes to raise money for the Torero women's soccer program. The Toreros welcome everyone in the community to attend. There will be music, dinner and drinks, socializing and games. It should be a fun and entertaining night out to support women's soccer and meet the players and coaches.
The cost is $60 per person to attend the semi-formal evening, which will include dinner and drinks, two raffle tickets, and $200 in chips to start the night off at Casino games. Games will include a Texas hold em' tournament, blackjack, craps, roulette and more.
At the conclusion of the night, chips will be turned in for raffle tickets which represent chances to win prizes that include a vacation getaway to Northern California, Adidas gift certificates, Charger tickets, restaurant vouchers, Padre tickets, a silent auction and much more. Prior to the festivities, the women's soccer team will be in action at the USD practice field taking on the alumni in a 9:30 a.m. match. Following the match, fans can join the coaches, team and alumni in a Barbeque.
The Toreros are hoping to get as many people from the community to attend the program's fifth annual Casino Night to ensure its success. If you plan on attending or have any questions about the event please email Libby Bassett at libbybassett@sandiego.edu or call the soccer office at 619-260-7591. If you cannot attend, you can still make donations to the women's soccer program and/or purchase raffle tickets in advance with the cost of each ticket only $5. Simply e-mail libbybassett@sandiego.edu or call the soccer office to purchase the raffle tickets.
