Francesca Ramos stepped up her role from player to volunteer coach for the Toreros in 2006. A graduate of USD in May 2005, she majored in Sociology and minored in Leadership & American Humanics. Ramos graduated with her Masters in Leadership Studies in January 2008 from USD as well. She finished with a career 110 appearances with 69 starts, 127 at bats and 18 runs for San Diego.
A local from San Diego, she works mainly with the outfield and was responsible for developing an extensive throwing improvement program for the athletes she is responsible for. Ramos attended Point Loma High School where she played four years of varsity softball and she played for American Pastime 18 Gold for her travel ball career.
Currently, Ramos is working for the Department of Defense, Department Of Navy Region Southwest Human Resources Office located on Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI). As a Personnel Management Advisor, Ramos is responsible for providing advisory services for the Federal Civilian workforce as well as assistance on the processes and procedures in the fields of recruitment, performance management, Equal Employment Opportunity and employee and labor relations.
