The University of San Diego swimming and diving team will head north to Long Beach to participate in the Toshiba Classic hosted by the UCSD Tritons. The three-day event will be held from Thursday to Saturday at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.

26 teams will be participating in the event including Stanford, Hawaii, UCLA, and defending national champion California. This will be the Toreros first multi-team competition of the season.

In their last match nearly two weeks ago the Toreros lost a heartbreaker to Western Athletic Conference rival University of Idaho. The Toreros had a two-point lead over the Vandals heading into the final meet but were unable to hold on as they lost 125-118.
