Was a second-team All-WCC honoree in singles and a first-team honoree in doubles with partner Stephanie Hoffpauir... In singles, won a career-high nine consecutive matches between March 16th and April 9th... Helped the Toreros secure a first-round victory over UNLV in the NCAA Championships by defeating Adrienn Hidvegi 6-2, 6-4... In doubles, achieved a No. 57 ranking with Hoffpauir on April 12th, the highest doubles ranking of her career... Teamed with Hoffpauir for four victories over ranked opponents on the year, including an 8-5 win over No. 18 Allison Falkin and Rachael White on March 23rd... SOPHOMORE '09-'10: Was the exclusive No. 1 dual singles player for the Toreros, posting a record of 10-12 at the head slot... Captured a combined 14-10 doubles mark for the dual campaign, pairing with teammates Maja Sujica (11-7 @ No.1 spot) and Alexandra Demidova (3-3 @ No.1 spot)... Named second-team All-WCC in doubles with Maja Sujica... Defeated four players ranked in the Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings: 120st-ranked Witney Wolff of LSU (1/30/10), 110th-ranked Sophia Marks of New Mexico State (2/5/10), 123rd-ranked Arianna Colffer of Pepperdine (2/14/10), and 75th-ranked Liudmila Vasilieva of Washington State (3/17/10)... Went 16-16 overall in singles and 17-13 in doubles for the combined fall and spring seasons... Participated in the SDSU Fall Classic, the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championships, and the ASU Thunderbird Tournament... FRESHMAN '08-'09: Had an impressive freshman season, securing the No. 1 position early on... Posted a 12-8 dual record in singles... HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR: Attended Lycee Kernanec Marcq en Baroeul in France... Competed in the French Open, beating the national champion at the time... Competed in a variety of tournaments and International Junior Championships.
PERSONAL: Born in Lesquin, France on March 11, 1990 to Daniel and Nadine Coupez... Parents were also tennis players... Has a younger brother named Guillaume who attends Architectural School in Paris, France... Enjoys all sports and would like to work for a sporting goods company to develop new technology in athletic equipment... Enjoys watching movies and TV shows and hanging out with friends... Started playing tennis at four years-old... Considers her experience playing on court 1 of the French Open and winning an intense three-hour match the highlight of her junior career... Considered trying to play professionally before deciding to attend USD after high school but wanted to get a college degree and experience life in the United States... Chose USD because of the location, academics, team, and coaches.
