Junior (2012-13):Went 6-7 overall in singles and 2-4 in doubles... Did not compete in any dual matches...In the fall, competed in the SDSU Fall Classic I, USTA/ITA Southwestern Regional Championships, and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.
Sophomore (2011-12):Went 6-5 overall in singles and 1-2 in dual singles playing at No. 5 and No. 6... Was 1-9 overall in doubles splitting time at No. 1 and No. 2... In the fall, competed in the SDSU Fall Classic I, ITA Southwestern Regionals and the SDSU Fall Classic II.
Freshman (2010-11): In her first year as a Torero, competed in one match, defeating Santa Clara's Jessica Agra 6-2, 6-2 on March 23rd... Did not compete in the fall.
High School/Junior: Attended the American Collegiate Institute in Izmir, Turkey from 2005-2010, but spent the 2007-2008 school year at Nova High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a long-term exchange student through the Rotary Youth Exchange Programme... won Turkey Championships in both singles and doubles in the 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U age groups... played with the Turkish National Team from 14U to 18U... represented her country in the European Junior Championships in the 16U and 18U age groups... was selected for the ITF/Tennis Europe 16U Junior Touring Team.
Personal: Born January 9, 1991 in Izmir, Turkey... she is the daughter of Haluk and Yesim Haciraifoglu... has an older sister named Pelin who studies business in a French college in Istanbul, Turkey... father is an architect and mother is a physical education teacher for handicapped children... started playing tennis at age eight when her parents asked if she would like to try a new sport... she credits her parents with helping her become independent through their endless support in all areas of her life... she loves to travel and would like to explore different parts of the world when she's done playing tennis... also interested in photography... she plans on working with the United Nations as a goodwill ambassador and would like to work with any international organizations that are involved in global issues... she also notes that she enjoys horseback riding, extreme sports, and spending time with friends at the beach.
