SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The University of San Diego women's tennis team saw their final remaining doubles tandem knocked out of the main draw on Sunday in the USTA/ITA Division I Women's Southwestern Regional Championships from Barnes Tennis Center. No. 43 Stephanie Hoffpauir and Juliette Coupez were unable to get past USC's 18th-ranked duo of Sabrina Santamaria and Kaitlyn Christian, 8-4 in the doubles semifinal.
In singles, three Toreros competed on Sunday. Sophomore Anna Depenau earned a win by default due to injury over Kelsey Daguio of Hawaii in the third round of consolation action.
Marite Raygada and Idil Haciraifoglu each saw action in the singles super consolation round as well. Haciraifoglu lost bother of her contests, while Raygada fell in her lone match on the day.
Regionals wrap up on Monday with finals action in singles and doubles.
