Freshman (2011-12): Had the team's top time at the Fullerton Invite with a 6k run of 23:51.6... Finished in 63rd place at the WCC Championships (6k; 23:44.0)... Clocked her season-best 6k time of 22:39.4 at the UC Riverside Invitational... Also competed in the Stanford Invite (6k; 24:14.0) and Bronco Invite (5k; 19:30.8)... In the spring track season, competed primarily in the 800m, running a season-best time of 2:22.80 at the Occidental Invitational... Also competed in the 400m, 4x400 relay and 5000m... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll with a 3.87 GPA.
High School: Attended Hinsdale Central High School, earning a total of seven varsity letters for head coach Mark McCabe; three in cross country and four in track and field... As a senior, set a personal record with a time of 18:34 in the three-mile at the cross country State meet... Won the Red Devil Athlete Award during her senior year, while also being an IHSA Scholar and All-Academic as a junior and senior... Was named All-Conference at the sophomore level... Notched a PR in the 800m with a time of 2:19... Was a state qualifier in the 4x800 in 2010 and in the 4x400 in 2011.
Personal: Born June 14, 1993 in Downers Grove, IL.... Daughter of Ben and Anna Kuckertz... Chose USD because she got to know the campus and the area very well since her sister, Jennie, went to USD and it offers most of the academic areas she is interested in... Her sister, Jennie, ran cross country at USD and her other sister, Elaine, competed in cross country and track at Brown University... Has five sisters and has never been outside the US, but dreams of visiting Venice... She works as a lifeguard during the summer and loves spending time outdoors running, being at the pool, or hanging out with friends.
