SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's track team faired well at the San Diego City Championship hosted by crosstown rival UC San Diego. Participating schools included USD, San Diego State, Point Loma Nazarene, Cal State San Marcos, and the host institution UC San Diego.
Torero Whitney Henry started the day posting a 100 meter dash time of 14.49 followed by a 200 yard dash time of 27.72.
In the 800 meter run, Laura Wells finished in a time of 2:34.95, Erican Enyon finished in a time of 2:37.44, Sarah Coxhead finished in a time of 2:40.18, Stephanie Sollars finished with a time of 2:42.03, Nicole Riley finished in 2:43.75, Katie Weesner finished in 2:54.77, and Katherine Bateman finshed in 3:08.42.
In the 1500 meter run, Wells finished in 5:09.99, Coxhead finished in 5:24.43, Sollars finished in 5:34.72, Weesner finished in 5:57.91, and Bateman finished with a time of 6:23.75.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Toreros "A" squad consisting of Whitney Henry leading off, danielle Stronjnik in the second leg, Sarah Coxhead at the third spot, and Laura Wells in the anchor leg, San Diego finished with a time of 4:35.29.
