SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Sophomore middle hitter Chloe Ferrari of the University of San Diego women's volleyball team has been named an AVCA All-American honorable mention, making her the ninth Torero to earn an All-American Distinction, joining former Torero greats, Ali Troost, Amy Mahinalani DeGroot, Kristen Carlson, Christie Dawson, Lindsey Sherburne, Kristen Hurst, Devon Forster and Petia Yanchulova.

Ferrari, a 6-1 sophomore from Clovis, Calif., takes home her second consecutive All-Pacific Region honor after leading the team with 355 kills and hitting for a .385 clip. Ferrari helped lead USD into the second round of the NCAA Tournament as they defeated No. 23 Long Beach State, 3-1, in the first round, thanks in large part to Ferrari's team-best 18 kills. Ferrari was also named first-team All-WCC after leading the team with 169 kills in WCC play, while hitting .388, second best in the WCC, and recording 57 blocks.
