Salem, OR- The San Diego Toreros finished in 8th place at the Willamette Invitational on Saturday, led by Tiffanie Marley and Cassandra Chavez.Marley ran a new personal and all-time school best time of to finish 16th overall.Chavez also ran a new personal best and moved into second on the Top USD All-Time 5K Times list with a time of .Erin Cartaya and Rachel Erlandson also ran personal bests on Saturday with times of and , respectively.San Diego finished with a total time of and an average time of .

Salem, OR- Paul Kezes, running for Team XO (8K, 23:58.30), and Mary Kamau (5K, 17:06.15) from the University of Idaho, had the top times overall, as they finished first in the men's and women's Open Division at the Charles Bowles Willamette Cross Country Invitational races Saturday at Bush Park in Salem, OR.
Eric Griffiths of Eastern Oregon (24:09.55) and Kristina Rody of the University of Guelph (17:15.38) won the men's and women's College division.
ChicoStateUniversity took first place in both the men's and women's College divisions. EdinboroUniversity took second place in both College divisions.
WillametteUniversity, AugustanaCollege, and the University of Guelph gathered up third, fourth, and fifth place finishes in the men's College division. University of California-San Diego, Willamette, and Guelph finished in the third, fourth, and fifth place positions for the women's College division.
In the Open Division, Idaho won the women's race, followed by Washington, Nevada, UC-Davis and OregonStateUniversity (led by former Bearcat Coach Kelly Sullivan).
On the men's side, the UC-Davis team finished first, followed by Team XO, Portland State, Washington and Gonzaga.

Men's 8K Open: Paul Kezes (Team XO, 23:58.30), Max King (Team XO, 24:07.33), David Kinsella (unaffiliated, 24:12.28), Uli Steidl (Seattle Runners Club, 24:13.49), and Michael Devenport (Portland State 24:15.23).
Men's 8K College: Eric Griffiths (Eastern Oregon, 24:09.55), Luke Baltrusch (Augustana, 24:15.30), Patrick Bolvin (Chico State, 24:18.78), Aaron Hollingshead (Willamette, 24:24.30), and Steven Springhorn (Chico State, 24:25.60).
Women's 5K Open- Mary Kamua (Idaho, 17:06.15), Ashlee Vincent (unaffiliated, 17:07.50), Letiwe Marakurwa (Idaho, 17:09.07), Lindsey Egerdahl (Washington, 17:13.12) and Dallon Williams (Washington, 17:16.37).
Women's 5K College: Kristina Rody (Guelph, 17:15.38), Julie Nemergut (Edinboro, 17:27.94), Danya Rumore (Willamette, 17:36.82), Mary Biggs (ChicoState, 17:43.48) and Jennifer James (ChicoState, 17:46.50).
